Tin Cup Creek Trailhead

Tin Cup Creek Trailhead has adequate parking for both cars and trailers. It offers access to Tin Cup Creek Trail #96 to Tin Cup Lake and into the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness.  There are no facilities at this location. 

General Information

Food Storage Required: Bitterroot National Forest Food Storage Order

Weed Seed Free feed is required on all national forest land: Weed Free Forage Order for Northern Region

Please practice Leave No Trace Principles when visiting forest land.

Pack it in Pack it out, no garbage service provided.  

No overnight camping. 

 

Open year-round, snow dependent. 

Winter access can be difficult. 

Open 24 hours/day

Tin Cup Trail #96 enters Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness at approximately mile 2.5.

  • Motorized equipment and mechanized travel including e-bikes
  • No Drones
  • No cutting switchbacks

Directions

From Darby travel 0.3 miles south on Highway 93. Turn west (right) on Tin Cup Rd. Follow for approximately 3.6 miles and turn south (left) onto Little Tin Cup Rd (National Forest Road #639). Go approximately 0.25 miles to the Trailhead.

Parking

This trailhead features adequate parking for both passenger vehicles and trailers, with plenty of space to turn around.
