Chain Of Lakes Trail

The Chain Of Lakes trail is 6.8 miles long. It begins at Road 726 and ends at Trail 313. The Fish Lake Trail offers access into undeveloped high country, complete with scenery, wildlife, and lakes.

The trail's grade ranges from 5-18%. It follows a dozer line that was constructed during the Sleeping Child Fire in 1961. The Bitterroot Mountains, peaks within the Anaconda-Pintler Wilderness and surrounding drainages may also be viewed from the trail.

The trail is open for the following uses: Horseback riding and Hiking.

Directions

From Sula, MT head northwest 0.2 miles on Highway 93. Turn northeast (right) onto East Fork Rd. (county road #472), go approximately 16.5 miles until reaching the Moose Creek/Martin Creek junction. Turn West (left) on Road #726 and travel 4 miles to the trailhead.
