Sawtooth Creek Trail # 123

The Sawtooth Creek Trail #123 begins in the Roaring Lion canyon, traverses North around Goat Peak, through private land for approximately 1/2 mile (stay on trail), then follows Sawtooth Creek and dead ends at the head of the canyon for a total distance of 11.4 miles.  It enters the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness at approximately mile 3, then continues through the canyon, which is defined by the rugged, glacially carved walls that define the Bitterroot Mountains. The trail first crosses Roaring Lion Creek on a stock bridge, then crosses Sawtooth Creek twice.  Use proper trail etiquette, as the trail is used by both hikers and horseback riders.
