Soldier Addition
The project area is on the Spotted Bear Ranger District, Flathead National Forest, and is bounded to the north by Sullivan Creek, on the south by Bunker Creek, on the east by the Hungry Horse Reservoir and South Fork Flathead River, and to the west by Bruce Ridge. The proposed action (Alternative 2), developed in 2008, includes approximately 1,189 acres of tree harvesting/thinning, 823 acres of sapling thinning/pruning, 1,784 acres of prescribed burning, and hazardous fuel reduction on 4 acres.
