  • Forest Road 911 Closure, CDA River Ranger District

    The purpose of this order is to close approximately 6.87 miles of the Forest Service Road 911 for the protection of public and contractor safety during roadway reconstruction including culvert replacement and drainage improvement within the described road.

  • Catspur Creek Garnet Site Road and Area Closure

    The purpose of this Order is to close the Catspur garnet unauthorized dig area and access road FSR-361A, a 1.2-mile-long road, to protect public health and safety, as well as resource/property protection, including a rare area of geologic interest.

  • Emerald Creek Campground Closure

    Emerald Creek Campground has extensive hazard trees within the campground and is
    currently unsafe to open for forest visitors. Campground will remain closed to the public
    until hazard trees can be mitigated.

  • Forest Service Road 260, Coeur d'Alene River Ranger District

    The purpose of this order is for public safety due to timber harvest activity on the Coeur d’Alene River Ranger District and prohibits all methods of travel (i.e., foot, mechanized, motorized, and stock) on NFS Road 260, from Riley Saddle (junction of FSR 260 and FSR 900) to the junction of FSR 2

  • Road 506 / Trail 15 Closure

    This order temporarily closes the Route of the Hiawatha Trail at nights during the summer and from September 21 to October 31 to allow for maintenance work.

  • Occupancy and Use Order for Camping on IPNF

    Establishes that camping in any one campground or campsite is limited to a total of 14 days during any 30-day period [36 CFR 261.58(a)].

  • Abandoned Mines Area Closure

    This order is in place for public safety and prohibits going into any abandoned underground opening, including but not limited to, mine adits, drifts, tunnels, caves and shafts that are the result of past mining activities within the forest boundaries as identified on the attached map.

  • Idamont (Boulder Cemetery) Forest Road 4402

    The purpose of this order is to protect public safety due to washed-out sections of road creating an unsafe narrow road surface, not passable for standard highway vehicle traffic on NFS road 4402.

  • Beauty Cedar Road 1575 Closure

    This order temporarily closes Forest Service Road 1575 above Beauty Bay on the Coeur d'Alene River Ranger Districtt due to active logging operations with constant heavy truck and equipment traffic.

  • IPNF Glass Container Restrictions

    This order prohibits possessing, using, or depositing glass containers in certain beaches, day use areas, and along certain rivers and bodies of water for the protection of public health and safety and for environmental concerns.

  • Rose Lake Informal Recreational Area Closure

    The purpose of this order is to close the 22-acre Rose Lake Informal Recreation Site to protect people from the potentially adverse effects caused by the presence of anomalously high levels of lead in the soils, sand, and dust.

  • Idaho Panhandle Seasonal Food Storage Order

    Food storage requirements on portions of the Bonners Ferry, Priest Lake and Sandpoint Ranger Districts from April 1 to December 1 every year. 

    The order requires appropriate food storage practices to reduce the potential for human-wildlife conflicts.

  • Hudlow Meadows Restoration Project Area Closure

    The purpose of this order is to ensure the safety of contract personnel and the public
    during heavy equipment operations associated with stream and meadow restoration
    activities at Hudlow Meadow, to prevent resource damage to the restoration area from persons and/or

  • Solo Creek Quartz Dig Site Closure

    This order closes the 5-acre Solo Creek quartz site to protect the public from adverse effects caused by years of unauthorized quartz crystal mining until the site hazards can be managed and the site rehabilitated.
