Partnerships

The Kootenai National Forest coordinates with many different organizations to help us accomplish our mission. Our partners include land management agencies across all levels of government, nonprofit and for-profit entities, and communities. Since the agency’s founding in 1905, partnerships have made significant contributions to our nation’s natural resource management.

Many of the groups recruit, train and host volunteers to assist with specific forest projects such as trail maintenance, historic building restoration, educating youth, and much more. Contact one of the groups below to learn more about potential volunteer opportunities they offer and how you could get involved.
