#731 Dixie Ridge Trailhead

Dixie Ridge Trail #731 starts at Big Beaver Creek and the quickly climbs to Dixie Peak.  The trail then follows a major ridgeline out to the Montana/Idaho border.  Both the lower and upper trailheads are accessible via open road systems.

  • Motorized vehicles:  Motorcycle use is allowed on Dixie Ridge Trail #731.

The trail crosses Big Beaver Creek just up from the trailhead.  The crossing is usually easily negotiated but can be challenging and dangerous during peak runoff.

Current Conditions
Dixie Ridge Trail #725 is a Trail Class 3 trail. The trail tread and corridor will be very well defined and visible. The trail is scheduled to be cleared every three years. Please contact the Cabinet Ranger Station for current trail conditions.

  • Please Pack-in-Pack out and Leave-No-Trace.
