#877 Moose Peak Trailhead

Moose Peak Trail #877 climbs 2400’ to the summit of Moose Peak offering spectacular views of the Vermilion River Valley. There are no stream crossings.

Current Conditions
Moose Peak Trail #877 is a Trail Class 3 trail. The lower portion of the trail will have a well-defined corridor and tread. However the upper portion of trail has minimal tread. The trail is scheduled to be cleared every three years. Please contact the Cabinet Ranger Station for current trail conditions.

  • Mountain Biking: Not recommended due to brush and tread conditions.
  • Stock use: Not recommended due to brush and tread conditions.
  • Properly possess and store all food, refuse, and other attractants pursuant to Kootenai National Forest Food Storage Order (CFR 261.58 (cc)).
  • Please practice Pack-in-Pack-out and Leave-No-Trace ethics.
