Discover History

The National Museum of Forest Service History, located in Missoula, Montana, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to collecting and preserving the history of the U.S. Forest Service.

On July 17, 2026, the National Museum of Forest Service History had its grand opening for the new National Conservation Legacy Center in Missoula, Montana.
