SPECIAL ORDER
RIO GRANDE NATIONAL FOREST


Pursuant to 36 Code of Federal Regulations Sections 26l.50(b) when posted, the following is restricted to a maximum speed of 20 MPH or less for all motorized vehicles on the Alamosa Canyon Road (FDR 250), 36 CFR 26l.54(d). These restrictions are in addition to those enumerated in Subpart A, 36 CFR 261.
This order is to eliminate conflict of use and reasons of public health and safety. This order will be in effect until rescinded.


Portion Closed

This speed limit restriction is from Rio Grande National Forest East Boundary (FDR 250-Alamosa Canyon) to the junction of FDR 247 (Platoro Reservoir Road).


Pursuant to 36 CFR 26l.50(e), the following persons are exempted from the order:


(4) Any Federal, State, or local officer, or member of an organized rescue or firefighting force to the performance of an official duty.
