Marshall Park Campground

This campground is located near Creede, Colorado right beside State Highway 149. It is comprised of 16 sites arranged in a large loop, of which 7 are paved pull through sites and 9 are dead end gravel spurs. Each site has a parking spur, picnic table and fire ring. There is a vault toilet. There is no potable water. Garbage containers are centrally grouped and available for use Memorial Day until Labor Day. There is a sink water disposal facility. Campground hosts are usually stationed here in site 16. Firewood may be purchased through the campground host.

Marshall Park Campground is located adjacent to Colorado Hwy. 149 and the Rio Grande River for easy access to through travelers and overnight campers. It is the closest Forest campground to the town of Creede. There is very little screening and few trees in the campground, so any vehicle traffic along Colorado Highway 149 is visible and audible. The sun hits most of the campground in the late morning, which means cool morning temperatures, but there is not much afternoon shade. The road is blacktopped through the campground loop and some pull-through sites are also paved. Maximum trailer length is 40 feet.

This is a very popular campground, close to town and is fairly heavily used. It tends to be full from mid-June through August. This site can be accessed by passenger car.
