The Palisade trail is 1.75 miles long. Begins at Forest Trail #799 and ends at Highway 149

This trail must be accessed via FDT#799 (Alder Bench Trail), to continue through to Highway 149 you need permission from the private landowner

The trail is open for the following uses: Motorcycle trail riding, foot and horse travel.

Getting There

Directions

From the Town of South Fork travel northwest on State Hwy 149 one mile until you cross the Rio Grande River. Turn right on County Road 15. Travel east on 15 a little over a mile until you see a sign for Forest Road 610. Turn left and go north on 610 2 miles to the Alder Guard Station. Park behind the Guard Station at the trailhead. Travel on trail # 799 1.5 miles to trail # 761 turn south.
