Saddle Creek Trail #715

The Saddle Creek trail is not maintained, it is covered with blowdown and is unmarked and hard to find, even more so where two logging roads cut it. It is approx. 4.5 miles long. It begins at Big Lake and ends at the Tobacco Lake trailhead. The trail is open for the following uses: Motorcycle trail riding (very rough and hazardous), horseback riding, (very hazardous), hiking, and backpacking. Mountain biking, while allowed, is not practical on this trail.

Current Conditions
Open, but not maintained or marked.  It is covered with blowdown, hard to find, and not part of the Rio Grande System Trails.
