Green Canyon Trail
Green Canyon Trail #672 is a two-track road that connects Ute Creek Trail #666 with a staging area on Forest Road 123, Zabel Canyon Road (near an oil well). The trail passes through a junction with Reservoir Canyon Trail #681. The trail climbs up to a ridge line on one of the hilltops, with more enormous embedded boulders here and there. It traverses the side of a hill with some lovely views, climbing up with a steeper descent down the backside of the mountain.
Riding Green Canyon to Ute Creek (5 miles) to Reservoir Canyon (2.3 miles) and back to Green Canyon Trail makes a nice loop.
