The proposed project area covers approximately 2,000 acres along the Tusas Ridge, extending east to Lamy Peak, north of Barela Canyon and south of Cisneros Park. It is located in T.29N, R. 8E., New Mexico Principal Meridian (NMPM) sections 7, 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21.
