Black Rock Canyon #292

This trailhead is only available with an experienced 4-wheel drive vehicle and driver. The road is only suitable for a high-clearance vehicle. The trail was impacted by the 2021 Pinnacle Wildfire, resulting in overgrowth, downed trees, and trail erosion. Experienced land navigation skills are recommended. This trail can loop with Holdout Trail #69.

General Information

Motorized equipment and equipment used for mechanical transport are prohibited. This includes the use of motor vehicles, motorboats, motorized equipment, bicycles, hang gliders, wagons, carts, portage wheels, and the landing of aircraft, including helicopters and drones, unless provided for in specific legislation.

Do not disperse camp before entering Forest Service land. 

Dogs are allowed.

Getting There

Directions

From Klondyke Road, take a right through the gate onto Forest Service Road 941, directly after Forest Service Road 6630. Be sure to close the gate behind you. Travel up Forest Service Road 941 to the forest boundary where there will be another gate that you must open and close. Forest Service Road 941 road is extremely narrow with sharp drop-offs. Do not disperse camp before entering Forest Service land. Take a right to stay on 941 and at the junction stay on Forest Service Road 941.
