Deer Creek Trailhead
This trailhead requires a 4-wheel drive vehicle to access. It is a large clearing with no trailhead amenities. A seasonal creek is located nearby. It accesses the northern portion of the East Divide Trail #287. This trailhead can provide a loop hike through the Deer Creek Administrative Site by walking back down FSRD 253. This trailhead is located adjacent to wilderness. Be Bear Aware and Firewise.

This includes the use of motor vehicles, motorboats, motorized equipment, bicycles, hang gliders, wagons, carts, portage wheels, and the landing of aircraft, including helicopters and drones unless provided for in specific legislation.

Directions
From Safford drive south 17 miles on US 191 to AZ 266. Turn right (southwest) onto AZ 266 and drive 38 miles. Turn left onto Deer Creek Rd/South Deer Creek Ranch Road. Drive approximately 7.7 miles on a 4-wheel accessible-only road to a large trailhead parking area with horse corrals.
