High Creek #290

The High Creek Trail is remote, with the first 1.1 miles of the trail traveling on the old Forest Service Road 159. Parking is limited at the trailhead, with high-clearance, 4-wheel drive vehicles recommended. After the initial 1.1 miles, the trail begins traveling uphill for the next 1.7 miles to the East Divide Trail #287 junction. While most of this trail is in the canyon, the end is a steep incline, and the trail can be challenging to navigate. The High Creek Trail is commonly used as a drop-off or pick-up location for point-to-point backpacking trips.
