The Santa Fe National Forest will begin the objection process on April 7, 2025, for the Encino Vista Landscape Restoration Project (EVLRP) environmental assessment (EA). The Encino Vista Land Landscape Restoration Project (EVLRP) encompasses approximately 130,305 acres located in northern New Mexico, within the Cuba and Coyote Ranger Districts of the Santa Fe National Forest (SFNF). Over ten to fifteen years, the project aims to reduce wildfire risk and protect local communities through active management with commercial timber sales, mechanical vegetation thinning, and prescribed fire.

A Legal Notice is planned for publication in the Albuquerque Journal on April 7, 2025, marking the start of the 45-day objection process.

For questions about the project call the Supervisor’s Office at (505) 438-5300 or the Coyote Ranger District Office at (575) 638-5526.
