Johnson Mesa is a dispersed camping area located east of Las Vegas on NM 65 and FR 153. Facilities: vaulted toilets, tables and grills. NO potable water available.

A backcountry permit is not required to enter the Pecos Wilderness.
Dogs must be leashed at all times while in the campground.
