Payson RD OHV Management Planning
Public scoping for the Payson OHV Recreation Project generated much public interest. As a result of public input from the scoping period, the Payson District Ranger has modified the project and removed the Houston Mesa Equestrian Camp from consideration as an OHV area. A project Scoping Report has also been released to clarify the intent of the project and describe the ongoing analysis process in more detail. The Scoping Report outlines the existing condition in the project area, along with the desired future condition. It also details the purpose and need for the action, along with a modified proposed action. Finally, this report outlines the next steps in the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process.
