Bighorn Sheep Population Management Project
Tonto National Forest Supervisor has signed the decision to authorize helicopter use by Arizona Game and Fish Department for bighorn sheep population management in five designated wilderness areas. Through the Objection Process, it has been determined that the agency has met its responsibilities under NEPA, the Wilderness Act, and all other applicable laws, regulations, and policies and that there is no evidence that preparing an environmental impact statement would be required. This decision is not subject to further administrative review by the Forest Service or the Department of Agriculture (36 CFR 218.11(b)(2)).
