The Summit Springs Guard Station was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1931 as part of Franklin D. Roosevelt’s New Deal.

The Swett Ranch Homestead is listed on the National Register of Historical Places and provides visitors an opportunity see what homesteading was like in the early 1900’s.

The Ashley National Forest road crew built a new campground pavilion at the Arch Dam Group Site on the Flaming Gorge Ranger District in May 2020. Includes construction time-lapses of portions of the project.

The Ute Mountain Lookout was the first and is the last standing fire tower with living quarters above ground in Utah. The tower offers a 360-degree view of miles of virtually uninhabited northeastern slope of the Uinta Mountain Range.
