Highway 191 Safety Project
Removal of dead trees to reduce hazards associated with trees toppling into roadways and onto trails, reduce hazardous fuels build-up, and to capture the economic value of the trees. Also, manipulation of stand densities to promote healthy trees.

The project is located approximately 20 miles north of Vernal, UT and can be reached by traveling north on U.S. Hwy 191. Treatment areas are on either side of 13 miles of Hwy. 191.
