Ashdown Gorge Wilderness

Established in 1984, the Ashdown Gorge Wilderness encompasses 7,085 acres at elevations ranging from 8,000 feet to almost 10,400 feet.  Highlights include the 'Twisted Forest' of bristlecone pine, shared boundaries (and views!) with Cedar Breaks National Monument and two challenging hiking trails, Rattlesnake Trail and Potato Hollow Trail.  

Practice Leave No Trace in all designated Wilderness Areas.  And please remember, motorized and mechanical transportation (including bicycles) are prohibited in Wilderness.
