Cathedral Rock Picnic Area
Cathedral Rock Picnic Area is located at the top of beautiful Kyle Canyon in the Spring Mountains National Recreation Area, just 30 miles from Las Vegas. The picnic area is set among a forest of ponderosa pine, white fir, aspen, mountain mahogany and Gambel oak, which provides partial shade. Visitors enjoy hiking, horseback riding, and scenic driving in this forested desert oasis. It is near the Cathedral Rock and South Loop Trailheads.
Reservations
Reservations are required for the two group picnic sites only. All other picnic units are first come-first served. Please visit Recreation.gov for additional information.
General Information
The site consists of 80 picnic sites, plus two additional group picnic units.
May - October, as weather and conditions allow.
Day-Use only.
- Dog must be on a leash at day use areas.
Day Use:
Single Site: $12/site/day (Monday - Thursday), $18/site/day (Friday - Sunday).
Double Site: $24/site/day (Monday - Thursday), $36/site/day (Friday - Sunday).
Group Site: $85/site/day (Monday - Thursday), $120/site/day (Friday - Sunday).
Please be prepared to pay with CASH or CHECK.
