Prevention

Fire Prevention educates the public to prevent future human caused wildfires. This is accomplished through regulation, mitigation, public meetings, school programs, personal contacts, and Smokey Bear events.
Wildfire prevention occurs throughout urban interface communities, working beside cooperating city, county, state and federal fire agencies throughout the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest in Nevada and portions of eastern California.
