Emma Lake Trailhead
The Emma Lake Trailhead, located near the end of the Little Walker River Road, is a moderately popular trail head providing access to the Hoover Wilderness and Emma Lake via the Emma Lake Trail (22061) near Bridgeport, California.

- Overnight use within the Hoover Wilderness requires a wilderness permit year-round. Please see Recreation.gov for information on obtaining a permit and associated fees.
- A free California Camp Fire Permit issued by CalFire is required for campfire, barbecue, and portable stove use.

Directions
From Bridgeport, California, head north on U.S. Highway 395 for 16.1 miles. Turn left onto Little Walker River Road and continue for 4.5 miles. When reaching the Obsidian Campground continue on for another 2.1 miles on the Little Walker River Road to the trailhead.
