Robinson Creek Trail

The Robinson Creek Trail is approximately 9 miles long. This trail is a highly popular access route into the Hoover Wilderness near Bridgeport, California. The trail starts at the upper end of the Twin Lakes area near the Mono Village Resort before entering into the Hoover Wilderness. From inside the wilderness, the trail provides access to multiple alpine lakes including Robinson Lakes, Crown Lake, Peeler Lake (via the Peeler Lake Trail) and Snow Lake. Just past Snow Lake the trail enters Yosemite National Park at Rock Island Pass.

The Robinson Creek Trail provides connection to the Peeler Lake Trail (22075) and Mule Pass Trail (22080) within the Hoover Wilderness, with both these trails also providing access to Yosemite National Park.

General Information

Wilderness permits are required year-round for overnight stays in the Hoover Wilderness on the Bridgeport Ranger District. ALL permits must be purchased through Recreation.gov. Permits are not required for day hikes. Please visit our Hoover Wilderness Permit webpage for additional information.

Wilderness restrictions apply within the Hoover Wilderness, including motorized vehicles and equipment, bicycles/mountain bikes, and other wheeled/mechanized transport which are prohibited in Wilderness.
