Whites Creek Trailhead

The Whites Creek Trailhead, located on Forest Service Road 41047 on the southwest side of Reno, provides direct access to the Whites Creek Trail (21066), which is 1.8 miles long. From there users can join additional trails such as Jones/Whites Creek Loop (21056) or Thomas Creek (21057). This site also serves as an access/entry point to the Mt. Rose Wilderness.

Dogs must be leashed at tralhead and for the first mile. Subject to Washoe County firearm restrictions.

Directions

From the intersection of Mt. Rose Highway and I-580, head west on Mt. Rose Highway for approximately 4.5 miles. Turn right onto Timberline Drive for 0.5 miles, then left onto Forest Road 41047. Trailhead will be on left after 0.8 miles.
