Buckhorn Bar Campground

Located alongside the South Fork Salmon River, these 10 campsites include 4 walk-in, tent only sites. The walk-in sites are along the Sough Fork of the Salmon River, and 1 is a double unit, which can accommodate up to 16 people.

Nearby activities include fishing and rafting in the South Fork of the Salmon River. The campground is eight miles south of the confluence of the East Fork of the South Fork of the Salmon River on the South Fork of the Salmon River Road. There are ten campground units with tables, fire rings, grills, handicapped accessible toilets and drinking water.

Check in: 2:00 p.m.; Check-out: 11:00 a.m.

Overnight Use:
Single Site: $10/night.
Double Site: $15/night.
Interagency Senior/Access Recreation Passes provide a 50% discount to Single Campsites ONLY.

Dogs are welcome in all campgrounds, picnic areas, and on trails. We recommend you keep your dog on a leash. Never leave them unattended. Dogs allowed to roam freely can frighten or injure wildlife, disturb other forest visitors, and create impacts to natural resources.

From McCall, go 30 miles northeast on Forest Road 48, then 7.5 miles south on FR 674; or access via Warm Lake Road just north of Cascade and then down the South Fork of the Salmon River road.
