McCall Recreation Area, McCall Ranger District

Right in McCall’s backyard, the McCall Ranger District includes many of the most accessible and popular recreational sites for residents of and visitors to McCall.

From the Gordon Titus parking lot off the Goose Lake Road, you can hike the popular Goose Creek Falls Trail (#354) and admire the spectacular Goose Creek Falls.

The Josephine Lake Trail (#296) is a family-friendly hike, also popular for fly-fishing. This beautiful 13-acre lake is tucked into a granite cirque. The 0.7-mile trail winds along a mountainside and past a small lake offering great views before climbing over a small rise and dropping down to Josephine Lake.
