SPECIAL ORDER OF FOREST SUPERVISOR WASATCH-CACHE NATIONAL FOREST
OGDEN RANGER DISTRICT
The following is established to protect public health, well-being, and safety.
Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50 (a) & (b), the following act is prohibited on the area shown on the attached map and described below, All lands affected are located on the Ogden Ranger District, Wasatch-Cache National Forest. This order is in effect until further notice.
- Going into or being upon the closed area, when posted or marked as closed. [36 CFR 261.53(e)]
Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50 (e), the following acts, or persons, are exempt from this order:
- Persons with a permit or contract authorizing the otherwise prohibited act.
- Authorized Federal, state, or local officers, or members of an organized rescue or firefighting force in the performance of official duty, when authorized by the District Ranger.
Area Described:
All National Forest lands which are roped off and posted or marked as closed within the Snowbasin Ski Area. Specifically, on the East face of DeMoisey Peak and Mt. Ogden to John Paul's Face, and terminating at the top of the Littlecat chair Lift.

Violation of these prohibitions is punishable by a fine of not more than $5,000 or imprisonment of not more than 6 months or both.(16USC 551; 18USC 3571(b)(6))
This order supersedes any previous order for the above described area and prohibitions.
