Fire Management

The Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest encompasses over 2.2 million acres of diverse forest and grassland. Every year, the forest fire staff manages over 50 wildland fires within those acres.
Wildfire Crisis Strategy

Since the Forest Service released its 10-year wildfire strategy, the agency and its partners have identified specific areas where fuels treatment projects will begin being implemented this year.
