Pineview Area, Road, Trail and Recreation Site Closures
Purpose of the closure is for public health and safety while construction crews and heavy equipment are building a new road near Pineview Trailhead to connect with the trailhead, constructing a new day-use site (New Point), and improving Port Boat Ramp. The Pineview Trailhead will also be reconstructed with new access routes to the beach, a new parking lot, restrooms, garbage services, and picnic sites, and an information kiosk. The New Point Day Use Area will include a parking area, restrooms, access routes, picnic sites, garbage services, and information kiosks. The Port Boat Ramp reconstruction will include a new road, fee stations, and an aquatic species inspection area.

PROHIBITIONS
Pursuant to 16 U.S.C. § 551 and 36 C.F.R. § 261.50 (a) and (b), the following acts are prohibited on the National Forest System Area, Roads, Trails and Recreation Sites in the Ogden Ranger District, Uinta-Wasatch- Cache National Forests. Described below and shown on the attached map incorporated into this Order as Exhibit A. This Order will be in effect November 21, 2025, and shall remain in effect until December 31, 2026, unless rescinded.
- Being in/upon the Area, including Port Boat Ramp Road (Forest Service Road #20098), Port Boat Ramp Road-A (Forest Service Road #20098-A), Pineview Trailhead Road (Forest Service Road #20100), Pineview West Trail (Forest Service Trail #6612), Pineview Trailhead/Parking and Port Boat Ramp this includes all motorized vehicles, pedestrians, hikers, equestrians, and bicycles, as described below and as shown on attached map. EXEMPTIONS
Pursuant to 36 C.F.R. § 261.50(e), the following persons are exempt from this Order:
- Persons with Forest Service Permit specifically exempting them from this Order or a written determination by a Forest Service authorized officer that a permit is not required under 36 C.F.R.§ 251.50(e)(1) or (2).
- Any federal, state, or local officer, or member of an organized rescue or firefighting resource in the performance of an official duty.
- Federal or state administrative personnel in performance of an official duty.
DESCRIBED
The Area closure goes from milepost 1.84 on State Highway 158 east to the shoreline, then south along the shoreline, then west and north around the Pineview Trailhead Road (Forest Service Road #20100), north along State Highway 158 to the private land then east and north around the private land to State Highway 158 then north to milepost 1.84, including Port Boat Ramp Road (Forest Service Road #20098), Port Boat Ramp Road-A (Forest Service Road #20098-A), Pineview Trailhead Road (Forest Service Road #20100), Pineview Trailhead/Parking Lot and Pineview West Trail (Forest Service Trail #6612) from the Pineview Trailhead north to the Trail Bridge approximately
0.92 miles, Port Boat Ramp and Pineview Trailhead located in Township 6 North, Range 1 East, Section 10 all within the Salt Lake Based Meridian, as shown on the attached map.

IMPLEMENTATION
- This Order will be in effect when signed November 21, 2025, and shall remain in effect until December 31, 2026, unless rescinded.

- Unless otherwise expressly defined in this Order, the terms used in this Order are defined by the regulations of the Secretary of Agriculture, 36 C.F.R. Chapter II, Parts 200-299. If there are terms in this Order that are not expressly defined in the Order or 36 C.F.R. Chapter II, Parts 200-299, their meaning shall be determined by their plain language definitions.
- A violation of the above prohibitions is punishable as a Class B misdemeanor by a fine of not more than $5,000 for individuals and $10,000 for organizations, or by imprisonment for not more than six months, or both. 16 U.S.C. § 551; 18 U.S.C. §§ 3559, 3571, and 3581.
