TONY GROVE AREA
PROHIBITION:
Pursuant to Title 36 CFR 261.50(a) and (b), in order to provide for public safety, the following acts are prohibited on the National Forest System described in this order. All lands affected are located on the Logan Ranger District, Uinta-Wasatch-CacheNational Forest. This order is in effect until further notice.
Possessing or operating a motorized boat on the Tony Grove Lake. [36 CFR 261.58 (n)]
- Camping except within the TonyGrove Lake developed campground, or equestrian camping in the west side of the Tony GroveLake Backcountry Trailhead. Equestrian camps may contain up to 2 vehicles per horse trailer. [36 CFR 261.58 (e)]
- Unloading, loading, or tying a horse or other saddle or pack animal except at the Tony Grove Backcountry Trailhead. [36 CFR 261.58 (aa)]
- Building, attending, maintaining, or using a open fire except within the Tony Grove Campground; or after September 30 in the equestrian camping in the west side of the Tony Grove Lake Backcountry Trailhead. [36 CFR 261.52 (a)]
- Discharge a firearm, air rifle or gas gun, except during authorized hunting seasons for the purpose of taking legal game. [36CFR 261.58 (m)]
EXEMPTIONS:
Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50(e), the following persons are exempt from this order:
Persons with a permit specifically exempting them from the effect of this order.
Any authorized Federal, state or local officer, or member of an organized rescue or firefighting force in the performance of an official duty.
DESCRIPTION
All the National Forest Lands in the E1/2 of Sec. 6, the NE1/4 of Sec. 7, the N1/2 of Sec. 8, and all of Sec. 5, T.13N., R3E., Salt Lake base and Meridian, as shown on the map.
PURPOSE:
This restriction is necessary to provide for the safety and welfare of the users, and the protection of the biological communities of Tony Grove Lake and to protect the natural resources within the Tony Grove Area.
IMPLEMENATION:
1. This Order will be in effect when signed and shall remain in effect until further notice.
2. Attached map shows the area affected by this Order.
3. Violation of the above prohibition(s) is punishable by a fine of not more than $5,000
for an individual, or $10,000 for an organization and/or imprisonment for not more
than 6months imprisonment. [Title 16 USC 551, Title 18 USC 3571(b)(6),
Title 18 USC 3581(b)(7).
4. Further information regarding this Order may be obtained at the Logan Ranger

5. This Order supersedes any previous Order(s) prohibiting the same, or similar acts
prohibited by this Order in the area covered by this Order.
