North Canyon Trail #601

USGS Quad - Bountiful Peak. Leashed pets are permitted. Elevation gain of 1,400 feet. The trail can be accessed through the Mueller Park Trail or follow 1875 South east bound to Bountiful Blvd., turn right (south) for 1.7 miles to Indian Springs Road, turn east and follow the road to its end where there is a green gate with a narrow walk through. The dirt road beyond the gate lead to the trailhead (this is private property, please stay on the road at all times). The National Forest starts where the road ends and trail begins. The gate at the top of Indian Springs Road is impassible to horses and motorcycles leaving Mueller Park Trail as the only access point for these users.

Getting There

Directions

From Salt Lake city take I-15 North to exit #315 (2600 South) in North Salt Lake. Continue east on 2600 South (Orchard Drive) to 1800 South. Where 1800 south intersects with the Bountiful Boulevard (1600 East) turn south for 1.5 miles to Canyon Creek Road then travel east for 1 mile to the end of the paved road. The Forest Service trailhead is 1 mile beyond the end of the Canyon Creek Road. Note: The old access dirt road is in very bad condition and vehicle travel beyond the pavement is not advised.
