General Camping Info: Find helpful guidance and tips for an enjoyable trip to the forest!

Know Fire & Other Restrictions Before You Go!: These conditions can affect your entire trip. For exampleExtreme and Critical fire use restrictions mean no campfires and no portable cooking systems/stoves. Bring cold food and no S'mores. 

Be Bear Aware!: Bear safety is critical, for the safety of your group and/or you, as well as our bears. Help keep bears wild by following these tips. 

 

Overview of Site

Location: The campground is located amid jeffrey pines and scrub oak trees and will accommodate groups as large as 60 campers. Maximum RV length is 40 feet. Be Bear Aware. 

General Amenities: 5 group camp areas. Bear boxes available. Vault toilets. Two dumpsters available. No water available. Please bring enough water for cooking, cleaning, drinking, and extinguishing campfires (when campfires are allowed).

Equestrian Amenities: 20 horse corrals and hitching rails located along the perimeter of the campground. Bear boxes available. No water--bring enough water for horses.

Hiking: Access to the Silver Moccasin Trail 

Fees: This site can be reserved by calling toll-free at: 1 (877) 444-6777 or via www.recreation.gov.

The fee ranges from $24 - $300 per night depending on the number of areas reserved. 

Area #1 is $24 per night and can accommodate up to 12 campers.

Area #2 is $120 per night and can accommodate up to 60 campers.

Area #3 is $60 per night and can accommodate up to 30 campers.

Area #4 is $36 per night and can accommodate up to18 campers.

Area #5 is $60 per night and can accommodate up to 30 campers.

RV’s: Maximum RV length is 40' - No hook-ups.

Discounts given to America the Beautiful - National Parks & Federal Recreational Lands Access Pass or Senior Pass holders.
Quiet hours are 10:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m. No commercial type generators, lights, live bands, loud or amplified music or equipment allowed. Checkout time is 11:00 a.m. Check-in time is 2 p.m. Pets must be confined or on a leash.

From 210 Freeway in La Cañada Flintridge, go 28-miles north on Angeles Crest Highway (CA-2), then 2-miles west on the Santa Clara Divide Road (3N17).
