Black Oak Group Campground Recreation Opportunity Guide (ROG) - This guide contains information, maps, and directions to assist you in enjoying your trip to the Eldorado National Forest.

General Information

June - September

Check in time is 2:00 p.m. Check out time is 1:00 p.m.

Interagency Senior and Access passes are not accepted for group units.

  • In units 1, 3, & 4, all vehicles must be kept in the unit’s central parking area. No trailers are allowed because of the difficulty of getting trailers in and out of these areas.
  • Please keep family pets on a leash at all times.
  • Camping Fires: Please use the grill or fire ring provided. Make sure your fire is dead out before leaving, using only water, not soil. Use only dead and down wood for your campfires.
  • Maximum Stay Limit: 14 days per district per year.
  • Check out time is 1:00 p.m.

There are four group sites at this facility: 

  • Unit #1 = $135/night, 50 people maximum, No trailers.
  • Unit #2 = $145/night, 75 people maximum, Self-contained vehicles only.
  • Unit #3 = $135/night, 50 people maximum, No trailers.
  • Unit #4 = $105/night, 25 people maximum, No trailers. Pet and dump fees.

  • Keep family pets on a leash at all times.
  • Please cleanup after your pet.
