Big Cove Overflow
Big Cove Overflow Campground only opens when all other Frenchman Lake Recreation Area campgrounds are full. Amenities at this rustic campground include unpaved parking and vault toilet. Campers are welcome to use the showers at Big Cove Campground.

Senior and Access passes honored for single campsites. These passes are available at the Beckwourth Ranger Station in Blairsden, CA. from 08:00 to 16:00. Call (530) 836-2575 for information.
- 14-day camping limit,
- OHV riding is not allowed in the campground,
- Be Bear Aware, store food, trash and all scented items appropriately

From Reno NV, head North on Highway 395 to Hallelujah Junction. Head West on Highway 70 to Chilcoot. Head North on Hwy. 284 to Frenchman Lake.
