Humber Park Trailhead Parking
Two trails start at this site: Devils Slide Trail 3E05 and Ernie Maxwell Scenic Trail 3E07. Both trails enter the San Jacinto Wilderness area and bicycles are not allowed. Paved parking and vault toilets at the trailhead. Call the Idyllwild Ranger Station for current conditions: 1-909-382-2921. Adventure Pass or a National Parks Pass required; acquire before arriving at Humber Parking Lot.
General Information
No overnight camping in Humber Parking Lot.
Day use permits are required for the Devil's Slide trail, not Ernie Maxwell. Fill out a permit at the Idyllwild Forest Service Ranger Station at the kiosk desk 24 hrs during weekdays. Devil's Slide trail is limited on weekends beginning Memorial weekend until Labor Day weekend. *see Devil's Slide information page for details.
Adventure Pass required.
- Group size is limited to 12 people.
- No campfires allowed. Portable gas stoves are allowed.
- Camp on a durable surface at least 200 feet away from other people, trails, meadows, and water sources.
- Dogs are prohibited in the State Park Wilderness, check maps for boundaries.
Pack out what you pack in and Leave no Trace!
