This page provides information sources for current wildland fire incidents and prescribed fires on national forest system lands with a focus on Oregon and Washington.

Current Wildland Fire Incident Information

Sources for current wildland fire incident information include:

  • Northwest Coordination Center (Oregon & Washington): Provides regional wildland fire incident and personnel updates.
  • InciWeb (national): Provides official updates for specific incidents nationally. Search for incidents by location or name. 
  • National Interagency Wildfire Enterprise Geospatial Portal (EGP) (national): An interactive web-based map portal that provides a national overview of wildland fires and resources (embedded below or select linked name for full screen).
    • To view a statistical overview for Oregon and Washington, select the chart icon on the top left to open "Briefing Metrics" and make sure to choose "Northwest" for the GACC (Geographic Area Coordination Center).
    • To find information about a specific wildland fire incident, select a fire icon on the map or select the fire icon on the left navigation for a list view.

Current Prescribed Fire Information

Information on current prescribed fires can be found on the news release and alerts pages of individual national forest websites

In addition, the Pacific Northwest Prescribed Fire Tracker (embedded below or select linked name for full screen) has information on planned and conducted prescribed fires.
