Dog River Trail closure

The Dog River Trail #675 and its trailhead are closed for road relocation/construction during a logging operation. Hood River County estimates the trail/trailhead will reopen July 2025.

This work will improve riparian areas and watershed quality. Mutt Timber Sale and related work isn't located on the national forest but on neighboring Hood River County lands, impacting trail access. Following the construction, access to the Dog River Trailhead will resume from a new location just north of the current trailhead entrance.
