Offices
Mt. Hood National Forest is part of the U.S. Forest Service, an agency of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Located 40 miles from Portland, Oregon, the Forest has four district offices located around the mountain. The Forest Headquarters is shared with the Clackamas River district office in Sandy. Each district office offers passes, permits, maps, and more. Our front desk staff look forward to greeting you and providing support so that you can safely explore your public lands!
Offices hours can be impacted due to staff training, building maintenance, or inclement weather. We encourage people to check our web alerts and call ahead to ensure an office is open before visiting. Call, email, or follow us on Facebook.
