Wiley Flat Campground Closure

Forest Order # 06-07-01-25-04

Pursuant to 16 U.S.C. § 551 and 36 C.F.R. § 261.50 (a) and (b), the following acts are prohibited on National Forest System lands, roads and trails within the following described area on the Ochoco National Forest, Lookout Mountain Ranger District, as described in the attached Exhibit A. 

This order will become effective beginning August 27, 2025 through August 26, 2026, unless rescinded sooner.

PROHIBITIONS: 

1. Going onto or being within an area closed for public health and safety. 36 CFR § 261.53 (e) The area described below will be closed to public access/entry due to hazards and hazardous conditions created as a result of the Wiley Flat fire of 2024. 

AFFECTED AREA/CLOSURE AREA: The closed area consists of: 

• Wiley Flat Campground, located in Section 27, township 17 South, Range 20 East, Willamette Meridian, within the Maury Mountains of the Ochoco National Forest. 

• The closure includes all developed sites, roads, trails, and facilities within the campground boundary. Refer to the attached map (Exhibit A)
