Brown Creek Campground

Brown Creek Campground is located along the shore of the South Fork Skokomish River at the confluence with Brown Creek. Evergreen conifers and hardwoods provide lots of shade at this campground. There are 20 campsites in Brown Creek Campground: twelve will accommodate trailers and RVs and eight of the sites are suitable for tents. There is one ADA accessible campsite. 

Six sites at  Brown Creek Campground along forest Road 2430 are open year-round. There is also an accessible vault toilet also open year-round nearby at Brown Creek Trailhead. 

The family friendly Brown Creek Nature Loop Trail #877 can be accessed from within the campground. There are accessible vault toilets and potable water within the main campground during the season.

May to September

50% discount for single site camping with any of these passes: Interagency Senior, Interagency Access, Golden Age, or Golden Access. Applies to fee for site occupied by the pass holder.

Trailers and RVs 21' max.

Overnight Use:
Single Site: $14 per night
Additional Vehicle: $5 per night

This is a first-come, first-served campground – reservations are not accepted. Pay upon arrival.  

Fee payment options: Scan & Pay. The Olympic National Forest has gone primarily cashless

Pets must remain on leash.

Directions

From Shelton, WA take US Highway 101 for 6 miles north. Then turn west onto the Skokomish Valley Road. Follow Skokomish Valley Road for about 8 miles to the forest boundary. Continue on Forest Road 23 for about another 5 miles to Forest Service Road 2353. Turn right and drive approximately ¾ mile to the South Fork Skokomish River Bridge. Cross the bridge and make a sharp turn to the right onto Forest Service Road 2340. Brown Creek Campground is located ¼ mile beyond this point.
