Rifle Range Fire

The George Washington and Jefferson National Forests’ Eastern Divide Ranger District Rifle Range Fire, located at the Blacksburg Shooting Range is currently one acre and firefighters are actively working to secure the perimeter today. For firefighter and public safety, the shooting range will be closed the remainder of today and tomorrow. The range is scheduled for cleaning on Monday and is expected to be open Tuesday, if full containment is reached and the area is safe to enter. The Forest Service appreciates the public's flexibility and patience during this time.
