Caldwell Fields Group Campground

Caldwell Fields offers two large, open fields for group camping, Milton and George Fields. These fields are ideal for campers who require few amenities. A third field is available at the site for day-use only. The day use field is currently designated as a First Amendment Gathering Site.

Reservations

Reservations are required for George and Milton Fields for group camping. Make these reservations on Recreation.gov.
No reservation required for the day-use area.   

General Information

Please pack out all of your trash.

April 1 - November 1

Check-in is 1:00 p.m. and check-out is 11:00 a.m. for both reservable fields.  Day-use area open sunrise to sunset.   

Sites are limited to 50 people and 20 vehicles. 

When recreating on Forest Service Lands, follow the safety and outdoor ethics recommendations.

Overnight Use:
Group Site: $35 per night

The day-use area does not require a reservation or fee.

From Blacksburg, VA: Follow US 460 west for 2.8 miles. Turn right on Craig Creek Road (SR 621). Go 8.8 miles. Fields are on right.
