Old Virginia Group Horse Campground
This campground is a primitive horse camp with room for 6 to 15 horse trailers depending on the sizes. It offers easy access to the Virginia Highlands Horse Trail with its connections to the Iron Mountain Trail. From the Iron Mountain Trail, riders can also access the New River Trail.

Horse owners need to have a current negative Coggins test certificate for any horse that they take to a public place for recreational use in Virginia.
$50 per night (maximum 25 people, 25 horses).
Please, keep your pet on a leash when in a recreation area or campground. The law requires dog owners to keep their dog on a leash with a length no greater than 6 feet and under physical control when within a recreational area, such as a campground or day use area (36 CFR 2616(j)).

Directions
From I-81: Take exit 45 at Marion, Virginia. Take Rt.16 south for approximately 17 miles to VA 603 at Troutdale. Turn right onto VA 603 (Laurel Valley Road) and follow it for about 3 miles to the campground which will be on your right. A site identification sign is on the gravel driveway.
