Wolf Creek Day Use Area

This site features a large covered group picnic shelter as well as several family picnic sites. A wheelchair accessible bridge crosses Wolf Creek and leads to the 2.4 mile Wolf Creek Loop Trails.

Current Conditions
Although the Wolf Creek Day Use Area is open. The Wolf Creek Trail and associated bridge are closed because of flood damage from Hurricane Helene.

When recreating on Forest Service Lands, follow the safety and outdoor ethics recommendations. 

No Fee

Please, keep your pet on a leash when in a recreation area. The law requires dog owners to keep their dog on a leash with a length no greater than 6 feet and under physical control when within a recreational area, such as a campground or day use area (36 CFR 2616(j)).

Directions

From I-77: Near Wytheville, take the Bastian Exit (Exit 58) and go west toward Bastian. Take a left on US 52, then an immediate right on Grapefield Road (SR 614). Travel 3½ miles to the day use area on the left, just past Camp Roland.
